Where We Started

My husband Colm and I moved to Canada from Europe in May of 2013 with four kids, big hopes, and the dream of creating better opportunities for our family. I grew up in the Netherlands, and Colm is originally from Ireland. When we first arrived, I started out in Saskatchewan while Colm worked away, and later we moved to Calgary as we continued building our life here.

A few years later we discovered real estate investing, and it completely changed the way we looked at building a future. We bought our first rental property in Lethbridge, Alberta, and from there we kept learning, growing, and taking action.

Today we’ve been investing for about five years and have built a portfolio of six investment properties across Alberta and Manitoba, along with our personal real estate, with a combined value of around $1.5 million. Recently we’ve also been able to secure four deals in just five months, purchasing properties at around 40% below market value by working with private lenders and strategic partnerships.

For me, real estate is about freedom, long-term growth, and creating opportunities not just for our family but for others who want to learn how investing works.
